Whew, it's been a while since I last posted. Our summer was pretty crazy, mainly due to husband's going back to school and me not having time to sit down and document our days properly. We did not do anything all that special, mainly exploring local parks, meeting friends and enjoying ourselves. Couple of museum trips. Not much school . D. reads a lot now, so that's a comfort.
Currently I'm incredibly busy planning lessons for the 1st grade.
This book (Rebecca Rupp: Home Learning Year by Year: How to Design a Homeschool Curriculum from Preschool Through High School)  helps me prepare, as well as this one (What Your First Grader Needs to Know: Fundamentals of a Good First-Grade Education (The Core Knowledge Series) by E.D. Hirsch Jr., John Holdren).  Paper scraps are everywhere and my head is spinning with all these awesome activities I found and hope not to forget about entirely.
